About “URBAN RESEARCH”
Japanese fashion brand URBAN RESEARCH is based on the concept of "sharing the amazing things in life", and has invited the only cassette store in Taiwan, Kind of Blue Records, to release a co-branded cassette album "Urban Research". With the theme of "a couple exploring the city", Taiwan beat maker Farragol was invited to create a light, urban, future funk genre, and the cover art was illustrated by Shiho So, a Taiwanese illustrator based in Japan.

About Farragol
A Hip-Hop Beatmaker / Collagist from Taiwan, he has been immersed in Jazz, Soul and Funk from the 70's to 90's since he was a kid, and loves to learn and create his own unique musical style in different fields. Since 2013, he has been releasing his own Beats tape albums and compilations for various music labels in Taiwan and abroad, and has officially changed his name to Farragol to promote more creative energy.

About Shiho So
Taiwanese born in Yokohama, Japan in 1990, started working as an illustrator in 2016, drawing illustrations with a bit of 80s cartoon style and atmosphere. She is also active in music-related fields such as cassette tapes and records, and also works for movies, book design, apparel, and websites.

「URBAN RESEARCH」について
日本のファッションブランド「URBAN RESEARCH」は、「すごいをシェアする」をコンセプトに、台湾唯一のカセット専門店「感傷唱片行」とコラボ、カセットアルバム「URBAN RESEARCH」をリリース。「街を探索するカップル」をテーマに、台湾のビートメーカー Farragol を招き、ジャンルは軽快で都会的なフューチャーファンク、ジャケットアートは日本在住の台湾人イラストレーター、Shiho Soが描く。都会での生活を、音楽とビジュアルで綴る。

Farragol について
台湾出身の Hip-Hop Beatmaker / Collagist で、幼少期から 70 年代から 90 年代の Jazz、Soul、Funk の音楽に没頭してきた。2013 年より国内外の様々な音楽レーベルからソロビートテープアルバムやコンピレーションをリリースし、より創造的なエネルギーを促進するため、正式に Farragol と改名した。

Shiho So について
1990 年日本横浜生まれの台湾人。2016 年よりイラストレーターとして活動開始。80s の漫画の雰囲気や空気感を少し持ったイラストを描いている。インターネット由来の音楽ジャンル Future Funk の代表格である韓国 DJ Night Tempo の一連のアートワークや様々なアーティストのビジュアル、グッズ制作、映像、本の装丁、アパレル、WEB 他などでも活動中。

關於《 URBAN RESEARCH 》
日本服飾品牌 URBAN RESEARCH 秉持著「分享生活中厲害事物」的理念，特別同全台唯一的卡式帶專賣店「感傷唱片行」推出聯名卡帶《Urban Research》。以「一對戀人在城市探索」做為主題，邀請台灣 beat maker Farragol 製作輕快、具有都會感的 future funk 曲風，加上旅日的台灣插畫家 Shiho So 繪製的封面，透過音樂和視覺訴說他們在都市生活的故事。
　
關於 Farragol
來自台灣的 Hip-Hop Beatmaker / Collagist，自小沉浸在 70 至 90 年代的 Jazz、Soul、Funk 等音樂環境中，熱愛在不同領域學習、創造自我獨特音樂風格，善於利用取樣技巧來創作各式音樂。2013 年起陸續在國內外眾多音樂廠牌發行個人 Beats tape 錄音帶專輯與合輯，並正式更名為 Farragol，推進更多創作能量。

關於 Shiho So
1990 年於日本橫濱出生。2016 年以插畫家身份開始創作。喜歡畫 80 年代氛圍以及帶有空氣感的景色與人物。曾擔任音樂界 Future Funk 的代表性人物韓國 DJ Night Tempo 的專輯插畫。其他案子包含廣告、雜誌、服飾、音樂專輯等。

This might be my favorite Mikazuki Bigwave album to date. Listened to nothing but this album for weeks. I'm not sure what happened to Discothèque舞踏会, that's my favorite track actually. "Hello Baby!" is a close second though. Kit
